Build Lifelong Habits with Real Food: HEALTHY VIRTUAL COOKING WORKSHOP FOR CHILDREN AND STUDENTS.

Bring our inspirational real-food story and step-by-step health workshop to your school. Perfect for health weeks, parent nights, or wellness initiatives.

Join me for an inspiring workshop for students, educators, and parents who are passionate about nurturing healthier habits and enhancing cognitive skills. Teaching students and staff how to eat well, feel better, and thrive starts from home.

The School Cooking Workshop is all about understanding what and how to eat. I want to tell the students our story, what and how we have changed. The transformation, the shift, we’ve experienced is fascinating, and I’ll use it to help students discover the benefits of opting for home-cooked meals. I also want to show them how making food from scratch can be healthy, easy and fun. In the session, I’ll focus on creating a tasty and nutritious meal, allowing children to learn and watch the cooking experiences.

Objectives:

  • Get students and children excited about cooking through virtual fun activities;

  • Explain to them why home-cooked meals are remarkable for their health;

  • Encourage healthy eating habits and the use of fresh ingredients;

  • Help students to make healthier food choices.

    So, I am excited to invite children to my fun virtual cooking workshop. I aim to teach them valuable skills and knowledge that will help them develop lifelong healthy eating habits.

    Let’s create a happier, healthier community while enjoying the deliciousness of home-cooked meals!

why?

I possess a solid understanding of a range of academic concepts. My interests include math and trigonometry, and I am interested in many historical dates and events.

However, knowing all the state capitals, calculating sine and cosine, and figuring out the volume of a pyramid, among other things, have not proven practical.

These subjects are part of my education, neatly organised like unworn clothes in a wardrobe.

I came to realise that I lacked essential knowledge about healthy eating.

  • How to create nutritious yet delicious meals?

  • Why did I feel hungry after my fast food meal?

  • What ingredients should a roll have to keep me full for longer?

  • Which foods helped control my appetite?

  • Why did a small piece of chocolate never seem to be enough?

  • How did a large bag of chips make me crave even more?

    I once thought that fish and chips could provide complete satisfaction, but my viewpoint has changed after years of confusion and misinterpretation.

    It's not that I overlooked or missed the lesson; I never learned it. Looking back from today, I believe understanding nutrition is the most crucial knowledge, as it profoundly impacts our lives.

Funny Healthy Homemade Meals

Funny Healthy Homemade Meals

Let’s make mealtime more engaging and fun, encouraging kids to enjoy healthy homemade food!

  • Colourful Rainbow Challenge: Encourage the children to eat a “rainbow” of fruits and vegetables over the course of the week. They can earn a vibrant sticker for each colour or food group they sample.

  • Funny Food Faces: Let children design faces using fruits and vegetables on a wholemeal bagel or toast. They can name their creations, and you can have a “best funny face” competition.

  • Superhero Plates: Prepare meals that resemble superhero faces. To enhance the fun, use vegetables for hair (such as broccoli) and fruits for eyes (like grapes). Inform the children that these foods grant them superpowers!
