When I first enrolled in Harvard’s Culinary Coaching and Nutrition programs, I wanted to help Dorian. I didn’t expect to discover chicken fillet, brown rice, or broccoli or to fall in love with vegetables. But I did—and that changed our lives.

3. “Healthy” Doesn’t Mean Boring

Through coaching principles and nutrition science, I learned how to recreate the dishes we loved — but with better ingredients. Now we enjoy homemade desserts, comforting bread, and warm stir-fry — all part of our plan.

I didn’t just cook differently—I thought differently, and I shopped differently. I understood “why” something mattered, which motivated me to stick with it and teach others.
